Department of Arabic in MTM College of Arts, Science & Commerce was established in 2017 at college campus in Veliancode. In the same academic year, the department began teaching providing students Arabic as a second language, with a syllabus based on modern curricula and new methods of teaching. Mrs. Sameera was the head of the department at the time of establishment.

In 2021, The College appointed Mr. Muhammed Thasleem as Assistant Professor. The declared policy of the department is to develop the linguistic skills of the students and to prepare a generation to engage in creative fields such as writing and reading in Arabic as well as focusing on language structures, rules and academic outputs.

Excellence in the provision of academic and educational services in the major of Arabic language and literature at the level of UG and higher education in the fields of teaching, research, and community-based services.
