COMPUTER SCIENCE LAB

The Department of Computer Science has a wide range of computing resources and laboratories available to support its educational and research missions. It coordinates the acquisition, maintenance, and operation of the computing equipment and network services. It is fully ICT enabled. The lab is located on the second floor of the Main Block. The lab can accommodate about 50 students. In addition, the department has a number of high-end shared-memory multiprocessor computer servers, file servers, G-Suite, and multimedia facility also. Students access this infrastructure for a number of different multi-purposes.

As computers become an increasingly important element of today's learning resource, we have invested in cutting-edge hardware and software infrastructure to meet the computing demands of all students and faculty.  The lab has 25 computers, a master computer for the tutor, a projector, a LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi connection, as well as a centralised UPS backup. Fully equipped with high configuration as well as the most latest software and programmes that aid in the enhancement of each individual's knowledge as well as the collection of information related to their disciplines. The lab has a full-fledged internet connection with a speed of 50Mbps. This lab is outfitted with dual operating systems, Windows 10 and Ubuntu, as well as programming software such as Turbo C/ C++, Java, MS Office, Oracle, Android SDK & Bitnami WAPP Stack for Linux, etc. According to their academic curriculum, students use this software for programmings such as Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structure, Operating systems, and System software.
