A Step towards Financial Wellness

The Department of Commerce, in association with IQAC, organized a Faculty Development Programme on SIP Awareness titled “Invest Smart – A Step towards Financial Wellness” at MTM College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Veliyancode, on 11th September 2025 at 3.15 pm in the Seminar Hall. The programme was exclusively designed for the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college to enhance their financial literacy and awareness of investment options.

BRIDGE COURSE

Annually, the Department of Commerce and Management Studies offers a bridge course for commerce students to provide essential knowledge in the field. The main goal of this course is to bridge the gap between pre-university subjects and the courses students will study at the college level, acting as a preparatory class for their academic journey. The course follows a well-designed curriculum that enhances students' understanding, preparing them for the intellectual challenges of commerce topics and providing foundational knowledge in core subjects.
Digital Poster Making Competition

The Department of Commerce, in association with IQAC, organised a Digital Poster Making Competition in connection with the World Day Against Child Labour. A total of 15 students from various departments participated, showcasing their creativity and concern for social issues. The winners were Abhijith (B.A. Sociology), Muhammad Jalal (S5 BBA), and Mohaidib (S3 BCA). The event effectively highlighted the students’ talent in digital art and their commitment to raising social awareness.
