World Elder Abuse Awareness Day Programme- Oath Taking Ceremony

The Department of English in association with IQAC, organized a Oath-taking ceremony to commemorate World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. The event aimed to promote the well-being and dignity of our elderly community members. Deepthi TK, Assistant Professor in the Department of English, administered the pledge through the college broadcasting system. Students from their respective classrooms took an oath to support and protect the rights of older persons, thereby raising awareness about the importance of elder care.

ALVIDA 2K25 – Farewell Ceremony

The farewell event ALVIDA 2K25 was held to honor final-year BA English students. Organized with heartfelt speeches and celebrations, the ceremony featured a welcome address by Mr. Hrithuraj C.B. and a motivational felicitation by Dr. Fabitha Ibrahim. Faculty and students reminisced their shared journey. The event served as a memorable conclusion to the academic experience and encouraged graduates to pursue their aspirations beyond college.
SYNERGY 2025 – National Conference Participation

Faculty and students of the English Department participated in SYNERGY 2025, a national conference on sustainable development. Contributions included research paper presentations, session chairing, and academic discussions. The event fostered knowledge exchange and professional growth. Participation in the conference highlighted the department’s dedication to academic excellence and active involvement in interdisciplinary research and societal issues.
Literaria – Department Association Inauguration

The English Department inaugurated its association ‘Literaria’ on 31st January 2025. The event featured a keynote session by Mr. Anto Dane, a Soft Skills Trainer. Welcomed by Ms. Deepthi T.K. and presided over by Dr. Fabitha Ibrahim, the programme aimed to promote academic discussions and extracurricular activities. Literaria was introduced as a platform for enhancing students’ literary, communicative, and leadership abilities through various events and workshops.
